A Message From John L. Hopson
I am writing on behalf of all the students, parents and teachers who are experiencing the frustration of Dyslexia. I have been Dyslexic since elementary school. After failing the third and fifth grades, I was sent to Nashville, Tennessee to Peabody College. It was there that I was diagnosed and began to receive help. Because I was so far behind others, I still had difficulty in the middle school years. At a great deal of expense, my parents sent me (again) to Tennessee to a private school for my High School education. I am a college graduate with a B.S. in Pharmacy and have been practicing my vocation for 48 years. It is time that something is done in the State of Kentucky to recognize and to help those who have DYSLEXIA.
PLEASE – parents and teachers contact your State Representatives to make them aware of the need for improving our educational responsibility in this area.
